India, EU countries, Norway, Israel, New Zealand, Taiwan,Turkey have all banned the testing of cosmetics (including end products, ingredients and active formulations) on animals. There are other countries such as South Korea, Switzerland, Guatemala, and the state of California, The United States (effective from 2020), which have the banned testing on animals for the end product. In addition, the EU, India, Israel  prohibits the import of cosmetics, tested on animals. There are several nations such as Brazil and Australia, which are working to end the testing of cosmetics on animals and PETA India and its affiliates are closely working with the regulators there to help them in the transition.

Cruelty free goes beyond lab testing.

To ensure, that you are not contributing to cruelty to animals, live vegan. As seen in PETA’s exposé “Glass Walls”, in today’s industrialised meat and dairy industries, at the slaughterhouse, animals are often killed in full view of one another and dismembered while they’re still conscious. The milk industry is the primary supplier of animals to the beef industry and because male babies can’t be used for profit by the egg and dairy industries as their subjugated female counterparts are, they’re typically chucked out like trash or killed. In addition to sparing the lives of many animals each year, people who eat vegan reduce their risk of suffering from heart disease, diabetes, cancer, and obesity. And because of the disastrous environmental effects of the meat, egg, and dairy industries, the United Nations has concluded that a global shift towards vegan eating is necessary to combat the worst effects of climate change.
